Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate basic computer skills. The role requires the ability to perform tasks such as taking vital signs and applying knowledge of proper body mechanics.

Job Summary:
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for our 3SW Cardiac Step Down Unit located within the Ft. Thomas Hospital.

Shift/Hours: Part-Time – 24 hours/week, 7A-7P

The PCA is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the clerical functions and duties of a designated unit/program.
Utilizes Customer Service skills when greeting patient/visitors and answering telephone.
Demonstrates the ability to complete worklist tasks triggered by physician orders or nurse-generated tasks under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
High school Diploma / GED
Specialized Knowledge:
Ability to perform such tasks as vital signs
Demonstrates knowledge of body mechanics
General computer skills and applications
Kind and Length of Experience:
Customer service experience
