The Certified Weld Inspector will serve as the global subject matter expert for welding processes, standards, and compliance across all Cooling Operations sites. They are responsible for developing welding procedures, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement to ensure product quality and operational excellence.
Candidates must hold a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification and possess at least 10 years of progressive experience in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing quality. A technical or associate degree is preferred, along with strong knowledge of AWS, ASME, and ISO welding codes.

As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
The Certified Weld Inspector will provide enterprise-wide welding expertise across all Cooling Operations sites. This role is responsible for developing, standardizing, and governing welding processes, certifications, quality requirements, and compliance programs to ensure consistent execution, product quality, and operational excellence. The position serves as the technical authority for welding standards, supports manufacturing and engineering teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures alignment with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements across the global Cooling organization.
