This role supports engineering and production teams by ensuring electronic assemblies are reliable, compliant, and built to specification. The Electronics Technician performs hands-on work including wiring, harness building, PCB assembly support, sensor testing, and system-level diagnostics to maintain quality and performance standards.
A significant portion of this role involves the fabrication, assembly, and testing of custom wire harnesses and cable assemblies. The Electronics Technician is responsible for producing high-quality harnesses from engineering drawings and wiring schematics, ensuring proper routing, termination, labeling, and workmanship. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing reliable electrical assemblies that meet company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic components, wiring harnesses, sensors, and control modules.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings to perform accurate and compliant builds.
Conduct functional and diagnostic testing of electronic assemblies to verify proper performance.
Identify, document, and report component or system issues to engineers and designers.
Perform repairs and rework on electronic assemblies, including soldering, component replacement, and harness modifications.
Support engineering teams by assisting with prototype builds, testing activities, and data collection.
Maintain test equipment, tools, and workspaces to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Ensure work complies with internal quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
Assist with inventory management of electronic components and assembly materials.
Document work performed, test results, and issues encountered according to established procedures.

Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration and daily coordination.
1–3 years of experience in electronics assembly, repair, diagnostics, or related technical work.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment, crimping tools, and other electrical test tools.
Basic understanding of DC and low-voltage AC systems, sensors, and control electronics.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to troubleshoot using methodical and analytical approaches.
Technical certificate or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials weighing up to 50 lbs, performed safely and as part of normal duties.
Level 1 (Entry-Level/Foundational)
