This is a hands-on engineering role where technical expertise directly influences product architecture and future technology development.
Essential Responsibilities
Design complete electrical power system architectures for mission-critical applications.
Develop system-level electrical designs based on customer requirements and application needs.
Perform electrical load analysis, power calculations, and equipment sizing.
Select and specify major electrical components including:
Inverters
Battery energy storage systems
Power conversion equipment
Transformers
Circuit protection devices
Switchgear and distribution equipment
Cabling and interconnects
Evaluate power flow, efficiency, fault current, thermal loading, and overall system performance.
Collaborate with Controls Engineering to ensure seamless integration between electrical hardware and control systems.
Work closely with Mechanical Engineering to optimize packaging, cooling, and manufacturability.
Support prototype development, testing, validation, and field commissioning.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical leadership throughout product development.
Research emerging technologies related to electrical power systems, power electronics, and energy infrastructure.
Develop technical documentation including electrical one-line diagrams, system layouts, specifications, and design calculations.
Support customer discussions by providing technical expertise during project planning and solution development.
