Lead beginner and intermediate mountain bike lessons while ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for riders of all ages. Provide hands-on instruction on biking techniques and etiquette while assisting with bike setup and equipment checks.
Candidates must possess solid mountain biking skills, strong communication abilities, and the physical capacity to lift up to 30 lbs. Previous coaching experience or certifications like PMBIA or BICP are preferred but not required.

Location: Spirit Mountain – Grand Avenue
Pay: $13.44–$17.00/hour (Based on experience, certifications, and additional skills)
Schedule: Part-time/seasonal
Status: Non-union, Hourly
Seasonal Role: Mid-May through October (peak season late June)
Spirit Mountain is hiring Mountain Bike Coaches for our summer operations at Grand Avenue. If you love riding and enjoy working with people — especially kids — this is your chance to coach in one of the Midwest’s best mountain biking destinations.
We’re looking for instructors who are patient, positive, and know how to keep it fun and safe on the trails. Previous coaching experience is a plus, but not required. We provide training for the right candidates. Ability to assist in other departments (camp, rentals, guest services) is a bonus and may increase your rate.
