The Plant Manager directs a staff of HVAC technicians to execute preventative, corrective, and general maintenance and special projects. They are responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring safety standards are met, and coordinating with mall tenants and vendors.
Candidates must have experience operating HVAC equipment and prior supervisory or management experience. Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are also required.
SUMMARY: The Plant Manager manages and directs a staff of HVAC technicians (Lead Operator and Operator) to execute the service delivery of preventative, corrective, and general maintenance and special projects at the location in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, (other duties may be assigned):
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience operating HVAC equipment is required. Prior supervisory or management experience also required.
Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Web, and other computer knowledge.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively speak and understand English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in liquid units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems related to the job. Ability to follow both written and oral instructions from managers and supervisors. Must be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies and tools assigned. Must be able to operate mechanical equipment, once trained, and detect equipment malfunctions.
No certifications needed.
