This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a new Showroom Experience Specialist to join the team and be part of this journey.
Our beautiful showroom located in Prahran is something to be seen. It is buzzing with energy and is an exciting, unique and one of a kind space to work in. As such we are looking for a person just like that to join our amazing team.
This isn’t just a retail store; it’s a purposefully designed showroom where customers embark on a journey through the Sleeping Duck story. As a Showroom Experience Specialist, you’ll set the tone, guiding customers through a tailored experience—from learning about our origins to being able to try our world-class mattresses for themselves. We focus on the quality of the experience, not just closing a sale. We’re driven by genuine connection, not KPIs.
We are growing our dedicated and close knit team and seeking a permanent part-time team member, available for 12-20 hours per week (mainly both weekend days and weekdays when required).
When you join us, our experienced team will give you a warm welcome and provide extensive training on how we do things the Sleeping Duck way in a fun, passionate and energetic environment.

Hatched in 2014, Sleeping Duck was founded by Melbourne-based engineers Winston Wijeyeratne and Selvam Sinnappan. Frustrated by the expensive, tedious, and confusing process of buying a bed, the duo decided to roll up their sleeves and literally make their own bed (so as to then lie in it). The hunt for the right mattress is stressful enough to keep anyone up at night. With so many models, firmnesses, and emerging technologies, we felt it was time to bring a good night's sleep back to basics. So we put all our effort into designing one (yes, just one) seriously comfortable mattress. We continuously research, design, test and implement improvements based on customer feedback, so we're pretty comfortable in saying that our pursuit of the perfect mattress is... tireless.
