The Construction Manager will act as the Owner's Representative, overseeing project delivery from design through construction and closeout. Responsibilities include managing project financial data, construction schedules, progress meetings, and ensuring quality control through testing and inspections.
Candidates must have at least six years of experience in construction management, preferably within healthcare or federal environments. A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software.
Position Summary
We are seeking motivated Project Managers/Construction Managers (PM/CMs) to join our team in support of a modernization construction project at the VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas. Selected candidates will serve as Design and Construction Managers, reporting directly to the Program Manager while working closely with VA client staff to support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex healthcare facility modernization efforts within an active medical environment.

Key Responsibilities
The Construction Manager will be a part of leading a team of professionals and act as the Owner's Representative role on these programs from design through construction and closeout. The Construction Manager will be required to learn and integrate our company’s best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality and operations in the healthcare environment. The Construction Manager will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The Construction Management services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.
