1.1 Job Scope Summary

The Electrical and HVAC Tradesman is mainly responsible for electrical work support of the overall plant operation and in maintaining the operation of the plant in compliance with established production schedules and production requirements.

1.2 Job Responsibilities

• Carry out HVAC routine preventive maintenance.
• Carry out electrical motor, and switchgear preventive maintenance.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance activities in the power plant including LV switchgear and control panel.
• Strictly follow permit to work system, method statements, and safety instructions
• Read and follow electrical drawings, O&M manuals, and relevant information
• Carries out assigned job activities throughout the shift to ensure all work assignments are Completed correctly and as requested
• Support to set up and pre-stages parts from the warehouse and helps in finding and retrieving parts from the warehouse to expedite work
• Update progress reports on work orders
• Remains on the job until another crew leader or technician has arrived and a turn-over of activities and information has been accomplished, with equipment updates and availability information after the shift
• Communicates and demonstrates safe work practices on all jobs.
• Ensures that all job assignment work areas are cleaned of used parts, debris, and tools upon completion of work.
• Ensures that work accidents or incidents involving crew members resulting in injury to persons or damage to property are reported to the Maintenance Manager, or in the superintendents absence, to the plant Shift Supervisor
• Complies with all National and Local Electrical Codes, completing professional works
• Attend HSE Inspections, audits, assessments, and meetings
• Conduct Risk identification/analysis/assessments
• Reports promptly any breaches of HSE procedures to management

1.3 Educational/Professional Qualifications/Training Certifications

• Diploma of Electrical Engineering or equivalent certifications

HSE accredited training qualifications

1.4 Job Experience

• Must have at least 5 years of experience as an Electrician Technician in the Facilities or power industry.
• Familiar with HSE standards, procedures, and requirements of electrical plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Preferred Knowledge of using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and Windows-related software is a plus.
