The Telemetry Technician is responsible for continuously monitoring patient cardiac rhythms and responding promptly to all alarms. They must accurately interpret EKG data and ensure all findings are validated by a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must complete and pass an EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of starting. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with a background as an LPN, paramedic, or nursing student.
