Candidates must have experience with ship-specific hardware assembly and testing, as well as a working knowledge of radio frequency equipment. A TS/SCI security clearance is required, and CompTIA Security+ certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Description
The Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Program is the Navy's Flagship Signal's Intelligence (SIGINT) system; installed on U.S. Navy ships, and Coast Guard platforms. NIWC Atlantic is the In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) responsible for lifecycle support, from development through transition. This support includes; but is not limited to; engineering, requirements analysis, testing, technical writing, fleet technical support, training, procurement, configuration management, production, warehousing, drafting and repair. This support, ultimately, is designed to ensure the deployed SSEE systems and Navy operators are positioned for success against our Nation's adversaries.
Candidates for this position will work in a team setting and report to the Project Manager while performing the following responsibilities:
Executing the assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade events
Applying critical thinking skills and organizational expertise to help organize efforts, tasks, and documentation to plan and execute installation and modification of our systems on USN surface combatants, special mission platforms, some USNS ships, and shore installations
Communicating and coordinating with agile stakeholders and with fleet customers electronically and in person in a professional manner
Executing the assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade events
Representing the U.S. Government in the execution of high visibility, high-priority tasks on ships in port
Documenting support needed via daily reporting and the use of Jira
Taking initiative to redline drawings when approved, capturing the system as built during installation
Traveling required for but not limited to site surveys and installations

Requirements
Experience executing the assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade events
Working knowledge of the radio frequency spectrum to include working with calibration and testing equipment (i.e. Time Domain Reflectometers, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Frequency Counters, Oscilloscopes, and Digital Multi Meters) and basic antenna troubleshooting
Excellent communication and writing skills
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
CompTIA Security+ certification (or must be able to obtain within six months of hire)

Ability to interpret all associated documentation (schematics, cable runs sheets, etc.) during the preparation and execution of shipboard installations in order for most effective actions be taken
General working knowledge in reference to the hardware installation, system configuration, system administration and maintenance of Hostile Forces Integrated Targeting Service (HITS), DRT, Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP), Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE), and Mission Modules
Overseeing inventory and kitting responsibilities for delivery of system upgrades
Successful experiences leading teams during the installation of shipboard systems
