Manage the Academic Language & Literacies Embedding Program (ALL-E) to support student academic literacy skills. Coordinate with academic staff and faculties to integrate literacy support into the curriculum and implement technology-enabled learning solutions.
Requires a tertiary qualification in education, applied linguistics, TESOL, or a related field. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in delivering academic literacy programs in a tertiary context and hold a valid Working with Children Check.
The Senior Officer, Academic Language and Literacy Development plays a key role in designing, delivering, and evaluating inclusive, scalable programs that strengthen students' academic literacy skills. Working across the student lifecycle, you will support the integration of academic literacies into curriculum, develop co-curricular learning opportunities, and contribute to initiatives that promote student engagement and success. The key responsibility of the Senior Officer, Academic Language and Literacy is running the award winning Academic Language & Literacies Embedding Program (ALL-E) which supports over 25,000 student engagements per year.
This role requires the ability to arrange, manage and administrate multiple collaborations per term with academic staff, faculties, and central teams. You will also co-design and teach academic literacies sessions while supporting the implementation of technology-enabled learning solutions. In addition to ALL-E, you will contribute to strategic university-wide initiatives, including the English Language & Academic Literacies Support Framework.
Working under the guidance of the Lead, Academic Success and Faculty Engagement, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the student learning experience at UNSW.
