Candidates must possess valid Smart Serve and Food Handlers certifications and be capable of lifting up to 50lbs. Completion of a Food Services Worker training program is considered an asset.

The hiring rate for this role is $ 18.57 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

As a Food Service Aide (FSA) joining our Village, you will:
Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.
Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
Be able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs. (20-50 lb. usual).
Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
Support with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace.
Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents.
Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
Hold a valid Food handlers certification.
It would be an asset if our new Food Service Aide has:
Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
