POSITION SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator is responsible to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by management.
