The therapist leads an interdisciplinary team to develop and facilitate direct social services interventions for patients. They conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions while maintaining detailed progress records and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
A Master's degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy is required, along with an appropriate in-training or full state licensure. Candidates must also possess knowledge of therapeutic techniques and be willing to obtain necessary certifications like CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
