The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe environment by patrolling the campus, responding to emergencies, and monitoring security systems. They also conduct investigations, document safety hazards, and provide assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Illinois Driver's License along with a PERC card. Preferred qualifications include one to two years of healthcare security experience and formal training in crisis intervention.

Compensation: Pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-specific requirements, individual experience, internal pay equity, and organizational needs/budget considerations, all in alignment with our RML's compensation philosophy. The Security Officer has the responsibility of promoting a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff at either the Chicago campus or the Hinsdale campus. This is accomplished by patrolling the facility and campus, assuring that the building is secure, responding to emergency situations, taking charge during security incidents, reporting procedures & investigations, responding to special requests as well as performing other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Supervisor of Security and Director of Ancillary Services.
