Job Summary
Schedule endoscopy procedures generated from GI clinic appointments. Schedule cases from the endoscopy work queue. Communicate with endo schedulers, GI and endo team regarding pertinent patient information. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the patient charting system.

Schedule endoscopy procedures generated from GI clinic appointments. Schedule cases from the endoscopy work queue. Communicate with endo schedulers, GI and endo team regarding pertinent patient information. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the patient charting system.
Submit electronic health record elements to payers in accordance with information security and technology requirements.
Assist office clinical staff with proper workflow to ensure accurate documentation to support quality reporting requirements.
Accurately review and document health care standards and follow written guidance to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and financial guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Prior endoscopy and/or surgery scheduling experience or related experience
Experience Requirements
Minimum: Six (6) months or more Medical Experience or physician billing/coding experience in a physician practice setting.
Preferred: Three (3) or more years of experience with physician billing/coding experience, previous patient care experience in a physician practice setting. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data entry and clinical documentation.
