The Opportunity

We are hiring a front-facing professional who understands that exceptional patient care begins long before a provider enters the room. This role is designed for someone who brings warmth, confidence, and emotional intelligence to every interaction and takes pride in creating a calm, welcoming environment in a fast-paced clinical setting.

This is not a basic reception role. The right candidate sees this position as a place to grow, contribute, and raise the standard of patient experience.

  • Shows up reliably, professionally, and ready to support the team

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors
  • Manage patient arrival and departure processes with accuracy and compassion
  • Schedule appointments, testing, and follow-up visits per clinical direction
  • Gather, verify, and maintain patient demographic and insurance information
  • Confirm insurance eligibility and secure authorizations as needed
  • Collect patient financial responsibility, including co-pays and balances
  • Upload and organize documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Prepare patient charts in advance to support clinic readiness
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and welcoming patient areas
  • Support patients who may be anxious or unwell with patience and care
  • Travel regularly to clinic locations within an approximate one-hour drive radius

We Are Looking for Someone Who

  • Is naturally personable, composed, and respectful
  • Takes ownership of their role and holds themselves accountable
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with patients and coworkers
  • Maintains a polished appearance and calm demeanor
  • Adapts well to change and stays focused under pressure
  • Wants to grow personally and professionally within a team environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher required
  • At least one year of customer service or patient-facing experience
  • Ability to travel consistently to nearby clinic locations
  • Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening as required by AHCA. https://ahca.myflorida.com/

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a medical, dental, or healthcare setting
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Bilingual skills

Skills That Matter Most

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance

Physical & Work Environment

This role requires extended periods of sitting at a workstation, frequent computer and phone use, and occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds. The environment is a busy clinical setting with regular patient interaction, moderate noise, and frequent interruptions. Reasonable accommodations will be made in accordance with applicable law.

Equal Employment Opportunity

We are committed to maintaining a workplace that is inclusive, respectful, and free from discrimination. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs, without regard to any legally protected status.

Note: This description outlines the general scope of the position and may be adjusted as operational needs evolve.

Clinic hours are 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Availability during these hours is required, though you may not be scheduled for the full time range.
