The Punch Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting various punch press machines to produce parts according to blueprints. They must also perform dimensional checks, maintain auxiliary equipment, and adhere to manufacturing operating system standards.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting punch press equipment, specifically with 150 to 400-ton machines. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and the ability to perform sustained physical work are required.
This 2nd Shift role sets up, operates and troubleshoots for self and/or others any and all types of punch presses; checks parts dimensionally; sets up and maintains auxiliary equipment such as straighteners and reels; and determines necessary tooling repairs at end of run. Maintains tool location and records of dies where applicable. Generates move orders.
