RESA Power is looking for experienced Electrical Testing Techs or individuals with electrical backgrounds in engineering or testing. The Minnesota RESA Power Service location is based out of Blaine, MINN in a safe and modern facility. Besides a competitive hourly wage, these Union positions are associated with IBEW local 110 and the IBEW International Contract.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience and 5 years of experience in a related field.

• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and various industry standards, such as NETA, OSHA, IEEE and NFPA.
• Strong background and experience in most types of high voltage equipment through the 230 kV class.
• Prefer experience with most of the following or similar: MCC’s, Breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, performing start-up on switchgear up through 500kV class, etc. or training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, NAVY or another related program)
• Complete projects consistently on budget and at a reasonable contribution.
• Ability to complete on-site job reports.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Additional Information 

Job: Full-Time, Union  

Location: Blaine, MN  

Travel: 75% travel.  

Compensation: Pay for this role is $40.43 to $53.91 per hour (depending on experience, skillset, and NETA certification level). Daily meal and incidentals per diem available when traveling for overnight work.  

Relocation: Assistance available for highly qualified candidates. 

Benefits: Full benefits including medical, Employee Ownership Plan, pension, per diem when traveling, and work anniversary bonuses.
