The Field Support Technician will function as a combination of warehouse associate, delivery driver, field superintendent assistant, and general handyman. The Field Support Technician supports warehouse, production, delivery, and field operations. This is a hands-on entry-level position that involves packaging and preparing materials, staging flooring products, delivering materials from the warehouse or vendor locations to customers’ homes, and assisting with general field support. The position may also assist with punch list work, such as touch-up painting, installing missing doorstops, securing or re-nailing trim, and completing other minor repairs that do not require multiple days of specialized trade work.
Primary Responsibilities:
Package and prepare materials for delivery and production.
Stage flooring products by stacking boxes, wrapping materials, and preparing orders for delivery.
Load and unload flooring, construction materials, samples, tools, and other products.
Deliver materials to customers’ homes and job sites in a timely and professional manner.
Safely drive a company truck and tow, maneuver, and back a large trailer.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff.
Assist with bringing materials into customers’ homes while taking care to protect floors, walls, furniture, and other property.
Assist with punch list work, including touch-up painting, installing doorstops, securing or re-nailing trim, and completing other minor repairs.
Support field teams with general job site cleanup, material movement, and preparation.
Help maintain cleanliness, organization and efficiency throughout the office and warehouse.
Assist office staff with lifting and moving flooring samples, desks, chairs, equipment, and other items.
Help organize warehouse materials, products, tools, and supplies.
Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
Complete assigned tasks independently and communicate any issues or delays promptly.
Provide general support wherever needed to help projects and daily operations run efficiently.
Perform safe, accurate, and timely preparation and delivery of materials.
Qualifications:
Experience with forklift operation and safe material handling
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Delivery driving and route management
Experience towing, backing, and maneuvering trailers safely
Loading, unloading, packaging, and staging materials for transport
Warehouse operations and inventory/material handling
General handyman; basic painting, trim installation, and minor residential repairs
Willing to work Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
