The CST provides technical support to the surgical team by scrubbing in, setting up and breaking down procedures, and maintaining the sterile field. They are also responsible for managing surgical supplies, equipment, and ensuring the operating room is cleaned and restocked between cases.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology school, and hold CST and BLS certifications. One year of current surgical tech experience in an OR setting is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Certified Surgical Technician (CST) serves as a member of the healthcare team and provides technical support to the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist in the operating room. The CST assumes appropriate responsibilities in the perioperative area by scrubbing, assisting the RN circulator, setting up and breaking down surgical procedures, pulling and putting away supplies and equipment, and environmental service duties.
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday; No Calls; No Weekends!
