We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our Bioassay Development and Screening group within the Therapeutic Proteins Department, supporting our VelocImmune antibody pipeline. In this role, you will develop and perform cell-based assays that reveal how antibodies act on molecular function and signaling, playing an integral role in the discovery and characterization of therapeutic molecules across diverse disease areas, while collaborating with scientists across neuroscience, immunology, and other therapeutic teams.

Discover your role:
Develop and perform cell-based assays in support of the company's VelocImmune antibody pipeline
Contribute to the in vitro characterization and screening of therapeutic antibodies across neuroscience, immunology, and other disease areas
Develop cell lines and characterize them using cell engineering techniques such as transfection, transduction, and CRISPR
Apply flow cytometry and imaging to characterize cell-based systems
Develop and optimize bioassays, including luciferase reporter and internalization assays
Perform primary cell-based assays, including those involving immune cells
Run high-throughput functional screens using 96- and 384-well plate formats
Analyze data, organize results, and communicate findings clearly to your supervisor
Document experiments in an electronic notebook and present data effectively at team meetings
This role requires:
Bachelor's in biology or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in planning, executing, and analyzing experiments in addition to communicating clearly and presenting data to colleagues
Experience with mammalian cell culture and hands-on technical proficiency with in vitro and cell-based assays
Familiarity with in vitro assays interrogating molecular and cellular function and signal transduction pathways
Must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multi-tasking environment, and bring strong organizational skills to daily work
Preferred qualifications include: cell engineering experience, multi-well assay experience, cell-based functional assay experience, flow cytometry and imaging experience, immunology experience, antibody development experience and primary immune cell assay experience
