Position Overview:
Group Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of RCA Substance Abuse curriculum for patients in our detox and residential recovery program. The curriculum will be provided for the facilitator to ensure quality and consistency in its delivery. The facilitator will be responsible for 15-20 1-hour groups per week. The facilitator will also be required to attend staff meetings, trainings and other duties as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities:
Ensure that groups of a clinical nature are delivered professionally and effectively to meet desired learning objectives.
Engage with the recovery community in a culturally competent way, in and outside the group setting.
Complete 15-25 groups per week with clinical notes and all other paperwork as assigned per policy.
Provide back-up clinical services as needed; included but not limited to family contact and individual sessions
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred
Prefer 1 year of related experience, preferably in a residential setting, providing group-based care and/or with a substance use disordered population
Eligible for independent licensure or credential within 3 years of hire date if not already in process or credentialed. Acceptable licensure includes, LPCA, LPC, LPCS, LMSW, LISW, LMFTA, LMFTA, LMFTS, LACA, LAC and LACS. Acceptable credentials include ADC-IP, ADC, AADC, AADC-CS. Other credentials will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Customer Service: Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external patient needs in a manner that provides satisfaction for the patient within the resources that can be made available.
Impact and Influence: Works effectively with and through others including those whom there is no formal authority over.
Communication: Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
Work Environment: May work in various environments including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or out-patient facilities. They spend much of their time on their feet, actively working with patients.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day.
