The Director of Business Development is responsible for lead generation, prospecting, and managing client relationships within the Mid-Atlantic territory to exceed sales targets. This includes leading early-stage scientific conversations, managing the end-to-end sales process, and collaborating with internal teams to drive market share in drug discovery.
Candidates must hold a PhD or MS in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field with proven B2B sales experience, preferably in life sciences. Extensive practical experience in oncology research and proficiency with Salesforce are required.

The Director of Business Development (BD) will be responsible for lead generation, prospecting and engaging with new and existing clients within their territory (Mid-Atlantic).
This is a highly autonomous, individual contributor role requiring the ability to independently lead early-stage client conversations, quickly build sufficient scientific and business acumen, and manage a high volume of parallel activities across prospecting, selling, and internal follow-through.
This role involves developing strategic plans, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, and collaborating with multiple internal service groups to drive measurable results that benefit our business.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong personal accountability, proactive communication, and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail across both client-facing and related administrative responsibilities.
