Responsibilities
The receptionist/administrator will manage front-of-house duties and administrative tasks within the Outpatients Department. This includes liaising with patients, consultants, and various hospital departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
Candidates must possess GCSE level Maths and English or equivalent, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and databases, is essential for this role.

Summary
Clifton Park Hospital opened in 2006 and is located just outside York. The modern purpose built hospital has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has first-class medical facilities including 24 beds, two theatres, a day case unit, a large outpatient department with X-ray facilities and on-site physiotherapy, including a small gym area. In 2018, the hospital opened a new outpatient department with 11 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and x-ray facilities.
The role
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist/Administrator to join our Outpatients Department.
This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, Consultants and all hospital departments. We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative, the ability to work within a team and adaptable. You must be computer literate – experience with Word and Outlook being essential.
What you will bring with you
Maths/English to GCSE level or equivalent
Proven organisational and communication skills at all levels, both written and oral.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including databases
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and consultants on a day to day basis applying appropriate methods and interpersonal skills
Positive, willing attitude
Self-motivated and possess strong organisational, interpersonal and above all customer service skills.
