The software engineer will design, develop, and validate embedded and cloud edge software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. They are also responsible for analyzing user requirements, performing code reviews, and writing technical documentation to ensure project quality.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, or Python, as well as experience with databases, APIs, and source code management systems.

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.
• 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.
• Applies Software knowledge to assist and support the design, development, creation, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
• Analyzes user needs and software requirements.
• Designs and implements small software features for products and systems.
• Participates in the design, coding for small features, unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Assists in performing code reviews and regression tests as well as the triaging of issues to ensure the quality of code.
• Collaborates with others inside project team to accomplish project objectives.
• Writes technical documentation for Software projects.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
