Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) Schools is comprised of a non-profit network of public charter schools designed to significantly increase high school graduation rates, college entrance, and college graduation rates for underserved students in North-East Los Angeles, and the North-East San Fernando Valley.

The Team Member we are searching for
The ideal Campus Aide Lead believes in and is passionate about the mission and commitments of PUC Schools and exhibits this through their leadership, reflection, execution of school culture, and collaboration to ensure student success. The Campus Aide Lead will assist in maintaining the proper environment and student control at the school. This position will work closely with Teachers, Administrators, and shared PUC employees to strategically create and implement a plan to increase student achievement across PUC.
What you will need to accomplish
Perform regularly scheduled non-classroom supervision duties, supervising students in the hallways, indoor assembly areas, outdoor eating areas, restrooms, on the playground, and in other areas to which assigned Report problems of a serious nature, including recurring behavioral problems and safety hazards to the principal, or another designated certificated employee Work with the school staff in alleviating behavioral problems occurring during supervision periods Assume responsibilities in inclement weather as assigned by the principal or other certificated employee Check restrooms in the morning, during breaks, lunch, and after school, in accordance with PUC Schools restroom policy as assigned Constant movement throughout the school (i.e., eating area, bathroom area, and playground) Support with facilities, including but not limited to: performing cleaning duties of school grounds at multiple intervals throughout the day to ensure that campus is always free of trash, including the vacating of trash receptacles as assigned Manage direct reports and ensure the Campus Aide team is following supervision area rotation and effectively supervising students Perform event supervision as needed (i.e., School games, performances, meetings, and graduations, etc.) Supervise and be the point person for game and event set up and parking as needed Serves as an emergency point person for afterschool Ensure the drop-off and pick-up process is running smoothly Monitor parking and report students parking in non-designated areas Serve as emergency point person until the school administration arrives in the morning Ensure student break and lunch supervision is running smoothly Assist Supervisor with scheduling of team members Assist Supervisor with the delivery of safety training and communications for the team Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsWhat do we require from you?
Minimum Qualifications
Valid First Aid Certificate issued by the red cross preferred CPR Certified preferred (will provide training as needed)
Education
Graduation from high school or its equivalent required
Experience
1+ years experience in working with youth preferred
Skills and Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Suite
Understand and follow oral and written directions Alignment with core characteristics required of every PUC employee: the pursuit of excellence, innovation, community, tenacity, and authenticity Knowledge of Safety rules Knowledge of Standards of courtesy and behavior expected of students Encourages students in games and activities Must be flexible and team-oriented Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Bilingual in Spanish preferred Regular attendance, dependability, and punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
