The role

As our new Venture Architect you’ll act as a trusted advisor to the founder teams in DTU Skyfactory and work hands-on with them to refine their strategy, sharpen their commercial focus, and accelerate their path to scale-up readiness.

Your key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact and strategic sparring partner for founder teams in DTU SkyFactory.

• Help startups navigate scaling and guide them through strategy refinement, go-to-market development, business model optimization, leadership and team development, and investment readiness.

• Contribute to further improving our Growth Plan tool, a framework we're developing to support founders in reaching their next critical value inflection points.

• Help design and adapt the DTU SkyFactory value creation services and content to individual startup needs.

• Work closely with our Corporate Engagement Manager to build corporate relationsships for the startups and with our Program Manager on connecting DTU Skyfactory to European networks and consortia to clear paths for international scaling.

• Coordinate closely with the DTU SkyFactory platform team (HR/recruitment, leadership development, finance, legal, communication, ESG & impact) to ensure startups receive strategically aligned support.

• Identify and connect startups with relevant external experts, mentors, consultants, and industry partners for IP, product development, technology application, DTU faculties and commercialization support.

• Collaborate with DTU SkyFactory leadership on progress tracking, performance reporting, and continuous program improvement.

• You have scaled your own business - or have been a key player in scaling a startup – meaning you have felt the pains and gains of going from early traction to operational excellence and growth yourself.

• A strong network across innovation, industry, and venture - and the confidence to activate it when it matters, whether that’s opening doors, finding advisors, or securing strategic partners.

• Strong commercial and strategic skills - from business model design to investment readiness.

• The ability to translate complex research-based innovation into business opportunities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English (Danish a plus).

Who you are

Above all, you are driven by curiosity, you’re a passionate soul and you have a knack for building something from the ground up.

Bonus points if you’ve worked at the intersection of academia and business, or if you’ve built a network across European innovation and venture ecosystems.
