Position Summary
To manage the retrofit installation operations of the company, including the scheduling and dispatch of the crews, ordering and purchasing procurements. Clear and concise communications with company customers, including keeping customers appraised as to the company schedule and requested lead-time. Oversee the training and efficiency of company installers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Daily review of jobs in progress and upcoming jobs with the Retrofit Manager, Electrical Manager, HVAC & Plumbing Foremen to discuss scheduling needs, manpower issues and job details.
Review new jobs with installer, check paper work and time card from previous days job, find out any punch list or uncompleted items.
Check at least one installer’s tools and van per week.
Walk shop and loading area, answer questions, installers gone by 7:20.
Complete layouts and drawings as scheduled by Manager
Continue to develop and implement labor saving installation practices, challenging others within the department and company to do the same.
Turn in shop cut sheets and material lists daily for early staging per dept. policy.
Provide technical assistance to sales staff and management as needed.
Communicate installation & budgeted hours with shop and installers, including breaking jobs of three days or longer into 8 hour increments.
Be available by phone for installer’s questions; know whereabouts and progress of crew during the day.
3:30 return to the shop to update schedule, finish drawings.
Return builder/customer calls as needed
Follow up field status with crew.
Turn over ASAP fittings to the shop.
Check warehouse person to make certain that all jobs for the next day have been pulled and staged in the loading area.
Turn in all purchasing for scheduled jobs at least three days in advance, all purchasing should be done by 10:00.
10:00 leave for scheduled layouts as needed
Contact office before & after each layout.
Check on one or two jobs in progress each day for quality & on time status and to assist installers with training and labor saving techniques.
Create duct layout, boiler design, etc. for all future jobs.
Meet with sales team/estimators throughout the week to review technical questions
Retrofit Leads meet with Retro Sales team at least once per week on regular cadence to review jobs and questions.
Ensure that the company’s installation standards are being followed; continue to help in the development of these standards.
Review staged area of the warehouse once per day to check on the status of future jobs, review punch list, resolve questions and problems as they arise to avoid unnecessary deliveries the day of the job
Review jobs with installers and sales team each morning, highlight installation details in the manual to ensure success.
Provide technical assistance to installers and other departments as needed
Update Coordinators on installers skill set as those change
Track installer’s progress, successes, core competencies and opportunities for improvement
