Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-Minimum of 5 years experience as a Design Engineer or equivalent

Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will focus on research and development, rapid prototyping, rigorous testing (including destructive testing), and the re-engineering of new and existing products. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on development, solving complex problems, and improving products through real-world testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and model mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
  
  

• Create parts using sheet metal, injection-molded plastics, and machined components
  
  

• Apply design for manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure efficient and cost-effective production
  
  

• Engineer mechanical systems with moving parts, such as levers, cams, pulleys, belts, and motors
  
  

• Develop mechanisms similar to folding beds, strollers, or industrial automation systems
  
  

• Build and test working prototypes in-househands-on approach is essential
  
  

• Perform mechanical testing, stress testing, and destructive testing to validate performance and durability
  
  

• Collaborate with electrical engineers and production teams to ensure product integration and manufacturability
  
  

• Document designs, revisions, BOMs, and testing procedures throughout development
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  
  

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical product design
  
  

• Proficiency with SolidWorks and strong understanding of CAD best practices
  
  

• Experience designing with sheet metal, injection molding, and traditional manufacturing methods
  
  

• Familiarity with motors, belts, cams, pulleys, and other motion mechanisms
  
  

• Demonstrated ability to design and prototype machinery with moving parts
  
  

• Strong mechanical intuition and creative problem-solving skills
  
  

• Must be comfortable with hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, and iterative testing
  
  

• Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
  
  

• Passion for golf or familiarity with sports equipment is a plus
