OB-GYN Hospitalist Medical Director Opportunity – Salinas, CA
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced OB-GYN Hospitalist to lead our practice at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center in Salinas, CA.
The Practice:
Choose from a schedule of Five to Seven 24-hr shifts per 4-week cycle, (per diem shifts also available)
Responsibilities include OB ED coverage, emergencies as well as OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical assist, and fetal monitoring
Low volume of delivery attendance for community OBs
24-hour in-house coverage
Private labor and delivery suites
MFM specialists and pediatric subspecialty support
Level III NICU is operated in partnership with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford
Annual pay based on hours ranges from $265,200 to $371,280 plus a Medical Director stipend of $25,000
Extra hours are paid at $170 per hour

Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employee are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire. Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year.
Paid Sick Leave:
Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 40 hours or five days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.
NOTE: The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
