The Patient Care Assistant works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, including hygiene and daily activity assistance. They are also responsible for maintaining patient rooms, stocking supplies, and managing unit communications and electronic orders.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or be in progress while holding a CNA certification. A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required for this position.
The Patient Care Assistant – General Resource Team (Float Pool) position works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities.
Work Schedule: 24 hrs. weekly/0.6FTE; 11:00pm-7:30am, every other weekend
