Full job description
Join the Park Opportunity Garden
At Park, we believe a world-class landscape starts from the ground up—and that includes our team. We don’t just offer jobs; we provide a fertile space where you can plant your ambitions and watch them bloom. Our culture is built on a simple philosophy: When we invest in you, you invest in us.
The "Opportunity Garden" Framework
We’ve designed our employee experience around three core pillars to ensure you don’t just work—you flourish:
NURTURE: We Get It – We provide a supportive environment built on Integrity & Trust. Your wellbeing is our priority; we focus on Working Safe & Working Smart to create a frictionless environment with the tools you need to succeed without the burnout.
GROW: Building Capacity – We don’t leave your career to chance. Through our Employee Success initiative, we provide intentional growth plans, training, and resources to expand your skillset. If you have the ambition, we provide the ladder.
THRIVE: You Want It – This is where your "Can-Do" Attitude meets Empowerment. We trust you to be a problem-solver with the autonomy to tackle challenges head-on. We take pride in the tangible "before and after" of our labor.
The Role: Foreman, Landscape Construction
While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. In this role, you will be the primary architect of on-site execution and installation quality, leading your crew to transform technical drawings into stunning residential and commercial landscapes.
Your Daily Impact:
Technical Leadership: Lead and work alongside your crew to execute complex scopes, including precision hardscape installation, final grading, and the construction of technical water features or pool environments.
Drawing Interpretation: Translate blueprints, specifications, and elevation requirements into executable tasks, ensuring drainage and layout accuracy are achieved in real-time.
Quality Stewardship: Conduct ongoing site inspections to identify and correct deficiencies immediately, ensuring the final product is ready for client turnover and municipal inspection.
Resource Coordination: Manage the staging of materials and the daily maintenance of equipment, while tracking labor hours and production progress against the project budget.
Safety Advocacy: Enforce a "safety-first" culture by conducting daily tailgate meetings, performing hazard assessments, and ensuring the absolute compliance of your crew with OH&S regulations.
Winter Versatility: Transition to comprehensive snow and ice management from November through April, maintaining a flexible schedule to ensure client safety during Alberta’s winter months.
The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)
To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:
Knowledge:Expert-level understanding of grading, drainage, and construction standards; strong ability to read and interpret complex landscape drawings and specifications.
Skills: Proficient operation of landscape construction equipment; expertise in multi-scope installations (hardscape, softscape, and water features); proficiency with digital job tracking systems.
Abilities: Minimum of three years of landscape construction experience with demonstrated crew leadership; valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License; physical stamina for demanding outdoor manual labor.
Compensation & Total Rewards
Your total rewards package is designed to support your financial well-being and daily success:
Competitive Hourly Wage: Based on experience.
Predictable Paychecks: Through our Alberta Individual Overtime Agreement, we bank your busy-season extra hours to top up your pay during rain delays or seasonal shifts.
Health & Dental Benefits: Access to our comprehensive group benefits plan.
RRSP Matching Program: A company-matched contribution plan to support your long-term financial goals.
Incentives: Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and incentive programs offered at the Company’s sole discretion.
Tools for Success: High-quality gear, specialized machinery, and resources provided to ensure you can work safely and efficiently.
Ready to Branch Out? Your Future Starts Here
At Park, we don’t just hire—we plant the seeds for long-term success. If you’re looking for a workplace where your "Can-Do" attitude is rewarded with real opportunity, you’ve found it.
When you join our garden, you’re gaining:
Visible Career Paths: Clear milestones for rapid advancement, regular check-ins, and structured raises.
Investment in Learning: Dedicated resources for training, licenses, and certifications to keep you at the forefront of the industry.
Innovative Tools: The latest technology and machinery to make your work smoother, smarter, and safer.
