The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals to residents while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. They must also manage food inventory and coordinate effectively with the food service team to ensure dietary requirements are met.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in a restaurant or institutional setting. A Food Handler certification is required, with ServeSafe certification preferred.

Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes, and equipment
Clean other areas of facility as directed
Cook foods as directed and consistent with applicable laws, rules, and regulations as well as the facility’s policies and procedures
Coordinate activities with food service staff
Cut cooked or raw foods as directed
Prepare foods for cooking and serving
Serve food as directed
Stock ingredients and monitor, food, beverage, and equipment/supplies inventory as directed
Ensure that food is provided to residents consistent with orders or diet instructions
Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors
