About the Role:

The Center Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of an early childhood education center. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment that promotes the developmental needs of children while supporting staff and engaging families. The Center Director leads curriculum implementation, staff development, and compliance with regulatory standards to maintain high-quality programming. They serve as a key liaison between the center, parents, and the broader community, fostering positive relationships and clear communication. Ultimately, the Center Director ensures the center operates efficiently and effectively to achieve its mission of providing exceptional early childhood education services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in early childhood education, including supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood curriculum design and child development principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff and lead teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards for early childhood education centers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or related discipline.
  • Experience with accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Certification in early childhood program administration or center director credential.
  • Proven track record in employee motivation and expectation management.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and inclusive educational practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all center staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating employees to maintain a high standard of care and education.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee age-appropriate early childhood curriculum and educational programs that align with developmental best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and education standards within the center.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families, addressing concerns, providing updates, and fostering a collaborative community environment.
  • Oversee the center’s daily operations including budgeting, scheduling, facility maintenance, and resource management to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
