Description
Job purpose
The Academic Support Officer provides high-quality academic administrative support across the student lifecycle to ensure the effective operational delivery of UHE UK programmes. Reporting to the Campus Manager, the postholder coordinates the operational delivery of enrolment, student records, attendance administration, and assessment support. This is an operational academic services role focused on systems and process compliance; strategic ownership of academic quality remains with the Campus Director and future Director-level roles.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Academic Administration
Manage the operational delivery of academic administration services that support programme delivery.
Maintain accurate student and module registration records on relevant institutional systems.
Coordinate the distribution of timetables and academic communication to students.
Support the logistical planning and delivery of student induction and orientation activities.
Assessment & Examination Support
Coordinate the operational delivery of assessment administration, including submission tracking and secure record keeping.
Support the logistical arrangements for examinations, including room bookings, materials, and invigilation coordination.
Provide administrative support to Programme Boards and Examination Boards, ensuring accurate documentation and data.
Coordinate operational communications relating to assessment results and progression
Attendance & Information Management
Administer attendance and engagement monitoring systems, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date.
Produce operational management information and reports to support local decision-making and quality monitoring.
Ensure academic records and staff/student data are maintained in accordance with GDPR and institutional requirements.
General Responsibilities
Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing in all aspects of the role.
Maintain confidentiality, act with professionalism and comply with GDPR and institutional policies.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.
