The Marion campus of The Ohio State University seeks a Social Work semester lecturer to teach in the Autumn 2026 semester. The successful candidates will have a strong commitment to the teaching mission of The Ohio State University and experience teaching lecture courses.

Courses:

SOCWORK 4501 – Generalist Practice with Families

SOCWORK 4188.01 – Practicum Seminar I

SOCWORK 4189 – Field Practicum

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in relevant field of study
• Evidence of expertise in effective teaching at the undergraduate level
• 1+ year(s) teaching experience at the college level

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience teaching within The Ohio State University, land-grant university, and/or regional campuses

The College

The Ohio State University at Marion offered its first classes in 1957. The campus prides itself on providing positive interactions among faculty, staff, administration, and students that promote a unique “culture of caring.” The Marion campus sits on 188 acres and shares the campus with Marion Technical College.
