Concierge – Gatineau 

 Osgoode Properties Limited, chef de file en gestion de propriétés, est à la recherche d’un concierge. Relevant du gestionnaire d’immeuble, le concierge est responsable de l’entretien quotidien de l’immeuble résidentiel. La ou le titulaire du poste doit coordonner et effectuer toutes les réparations afin d’améliorer la fiabilité, la sécurité et la propreté de l’immeuble. Elle ou il doit s’assurer que tout travail est achevé dans les délais impartis et à un niveau qui répond à tous les protocoles de sécurité.  Exigences et qualifications:

• 2 à 3 ans d’expérience dans le domaine
• Excellente habileté à effectuer diverses réparations mineures
• Habileté à faire des réparations mineures en plomberie, électricité et menuiserie
• Expérience en nettoyage commercial
• Connaissance des règlements de sécurité incendie et des systèmes de sécurité informatiques
• Expérience à négocier avec les sous-traitants et les personnes de métier
• Service à la clientèle hors pair
• Bonne habiletés de communication en français (l’anglais est un atout)
• Habileté à travailler de façon autonome et en équipe
• Doit avoir aucun empêchement judiciaire en lien avec l’emploi
• Travaux légers à moyens nécessaires, doit pouvoir soulever jusqu’à 22 kilos
• Doit être disponible pour travailler le soir et la fin de semaine

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Property Manager, the incumbent works at the building and is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the residential building . He/she is responsible for coordinating and completing all maintenance activities to improve the reliability, safety, and cleanliness of the building. The salary highlighted in this posting refers to the annual salary. In addition to the annual salary, living accommodations are provided as part of the total compensation for this role. 

 Requirements for success: 

• 2 to 3 years’ experience in residential property management
• Excellent “do it yourself” skills
• Ability to perform minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
• Experience in performing janitorial duties 
• Conversant with Fire Safety Regulations and computerized security systems
• Experience in dealing with sub-contractors and trades people
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Good communications skills in English (French is an asset)
• Ability to work unsupervised and work as part of a team
• Must provide clean criminal record check
• Light to medium duty work required, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Some evening and weekends with a requirement to be on call 
• Ability to drive between Ottawa Osgoode Property locations

 Your new role and responsibilities: 

• Ensure regular cleaning of common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and cleaning of all halls, air vents, light fixtures, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, landings, entrances, elevators, laundry room, and office area 
• Prompt turnover of vacant apartments for showings or new tenants
• Inspect building and outdoor grounds daily
• Perform regular maintenance and light repairs, such as electrical, painting, and minor plumbing
• Inspect fire equipment and ensure it is up to date with standard regulations
• Complete seasonal duties ie: shoveling of all walkways, removal of ice in all areas utilized by tenants and driveway entrances and maintaining of garden beds ie: watering and weeding
• Ensure work is completed on time, to high standards
• Follow safety protocols 
• Provide customer service with a polished and professional approach 
• Perform other duties as assigned
