The Opportunity: 

This role is designed to expand team capacity while supporting the core responsibilities of a Digital Fundraising Coordinator. The successful candidate will serve as a key resource for both day-to-day operations and more advanced digital fundraising initiatives. This role is a 12-month limited duration role that is eligible for full benefits. 

Key responsibilities include building email campaigns, maintaining and updating donation and giving forms (currently more than 100 active forms), and contributing to special projects and optimization efforts. A significant portion of the role involves managing and maintaining automated fundraising and engagement programs, requiring strong technical proficiency and attention to detail. The position will be responsible for building, testing, and deploying technical campaign workflows that run continuously and support donor engagement objectives.

Position Summary: 

   
Working with the development, membership, marketing, and digital content teams as well as external vendors, this position coordinates strategic digital communications to members, sustainers, and prospects through email, OPB’s website, and social platforms. The Digital Fundraising Coordinator, Special Projects is responsible for building emails, automations, and audience segmentations. Coordinating the implementation of OPB’s digital testing program, reporting campaign results, and ensuring OPB can effectively and accurately communicate and engage with our audiences. This role supports daily operations as well as researching and building complex multi-channel digital fundraising projects.

Areas of Responsibility:

50% Implement email fundraising, prospecting, and cultivation campaigns.

  • Support the production of regularly scheduled emails including newsletters, member communications,solicitationand cultivation emails, updating and building audience segments, and creating and updated email content asrequired.
  • Manage the development and production of new digital efforts such as prospect welcome series, member cultivation series, reengagement efforts, new automations, and special standalone communications.
  • Coordinate with development, membership, marketingand digital content teams on the production of email communications, gathering image and copy assets,identifyingaudiences, managing the proofing process, creatingand sending emails, and providing reports on results.
  • Produce, refine and distribute detailed analysis reports on email and other digital efforts to drive future fundraising strategies.
  • Work with the team to define email solicitation and testing strategies and assistin the implementation of tests and report results.
  • Collaborate with the Development Operations team to build, test, and troubleshoot special projects.

30% Create and update online giving forms, campaign landing pages and other assets required to support digital campaigns.

  • Coordinate the production of assets asrequiredto support digital campaigns, ensuring images, copy, links, etc. are all ready in time for campaign launch.
  • Manage and update online contribution forms to support fundraising efforts on allchannels, ensuring content isappropriateand updated, data isaccurate, and forms are clearly named and organized.
  • Update campaign landing pages and web elements on OPB.org asappropriate fornew campaigns, create new pages when required, and track results to ensure effectiveness.
  • Produce and refine detailed analysis of reports on digital efforts to drive future fundraising strategies.
  • Work with the team and external vendors to execute and troubleshoot digital solicitation and testing strategies,assistwith production workrequiredto support testing strategies, and report back on test results.
  • Collaborate with the team toidentifyopportunities to implement new features or platforms for online giving and assistwith the evaluation and implementation of those tools.

20% Coordinate back-end processes that support donation and project management. 

  • Update copy and code on forms to support OPB’s membership program.
  • Support with project management of digital fundraising campaigns, working collaboratively across teams and externally.
  • Monitor and refine back-end automations related to form management, data, and audience segmentation, ensuringtimelyandaccurate updates asrequiredto support new email properties or strategic initiatives.
  • Assistwith efforts to support email deliverability and reputation management, including data hygiene, monitoringof KPIs related to deliverability, and researching and troubleshooting deliverability issues.

Working Conditions: 

This is a hybrid role with most work done remotely and occasional onsite work required. Most work takes place during regular hours but may require mornings and evenings when needed.

Minimum Position Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attitudes):

  • Two years of experience in a marketing, membership, or fundraising role.
  • Familiarity with email marketing and marketing automation tools (RedPoint, SendGrid, Campaign Monitor, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability toutilizea CRM and data toidentifyand build audiences and evaluate campaigns, programsand procedures to inform decision-making.
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics or other business intelligence tools and experience generating standard reports.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and ability to troubleshoot issues in a content builder.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and departments to meet fundraising goals.
  • Writing and copy-editing skills.
  • This position requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects independently and in a positive, solutions focused manner withappropriate directionand judgment.
  • A curious self-starter with the ability and desire to learn new skills and assume new duties.
  • Flexibility, proactive communication, and strong organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for the mission of OPB.

Preferred Position Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attitudes):

  • HTML/CSS, or other web coding skills
  • Project management tools or techniques
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design and photo editing tools
  • Experience with report development or data analysis
  • Experience with RedPointMarketing Platform and/or Salesforce
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

 

Additional Information:  

  • This position reports totheDigital Fundraising Manager and Director of Digital Membership
  • The probable hiring range for this non-exempt, unrepresented position is between $28.17 - 29.30 / hour, depending on qualifications.
