The Engineering Technician is responsible for the first-line response to engineering faults to ensure the smooth operation of an automated fulfilment centre. Duties include performing reactive maintenance, planned servicing, and participating in proactive improvement projects.
Candidates should have a technical understanding of automation hardware, software, and control systems, preferably backed by a formal engineering qualification. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work at height are also required.

As an Engineering Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our state-of-the-art, automated Customer Fulfilment Centre in Purfleet. You'll be the first line of response for engineering faults, working quickly and effectively to diagnose and resolve issues that could impact performance. Alongside reactive maintenance, you’ll carry out planned servicing and repairs to keep our equipment in top condition, while also getting involved in proactive improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
You will work a shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation, consisting of 12 hour shifts across days, nights and weekends.
