As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you will be part of the Group Logistics Operations team, supporting and executing end-to-end logistics solutions to and from the African region. You will play a key role in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing customer requirements, and collaborating closely with local offices, partners, and service providers to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality logistics operations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering seamless logistics services aligned with OBT’s standards and values.
Proven experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of logistics processes and customer service principles.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Proactive, collaborative workstyle, taking accountability for results
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Manage, monitor and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across Africa.
Lead RFQs and drive pricing activities.
Collaborate with local offices and partners to ensure operational efficiency.
Review and manage customer requirements, providing proactive customer service.
Identify and execute logistics solutions for customers and OBT offices
Participation in, and preparation for, business review meetings with key account customers for KPI status updates on operational milestones, challenges and solutions
Ensure compliance with company and customer policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain highest service quality standards and resolve operational issues promptly.
Support local offices with complex shipment requirements and problem-solving.
