Full job description

Talent Acquisition Partner

Connect Great People to a Greater Purpose

Location: Salem, Oregon
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Chief People Officer

Are you a recruiter who thinks bigger than filling jobs?

Northwest Human Services is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Partner to help shape the future of healthcare in our communities. This is not a transactional recruiting role. We are looking for someone who thrives on building talent pipelines, influencing workforce strategy, developing relationships with healthcare providers and leaders, and connecting exceptional people to meaningful work.

In this role, you'll recruit physicians, dentists, behavioral health providers, nurses, leaders, and hard-to-fill healthcare professionals while serving as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and executive leadership. You'll help us solve workforce challenges before they become vacancies, build sustainable talent pipelines, strengthen our employer brand, and ensure we continue delivering high-quality care to underserved populations across Oregon.

If you enjoy networking, strategic sourcing, workforce planning, employer branding, and helping leaders build high-performing teams, we want to meet you.

What You'll Do

Build the Workforce of the Future

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies for clinical, leadership, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Build and maintain talent communities and candidate pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
  • Create innovative sourcing strategies that identify passive and active candidates before the competition does.
  • Establish relationships with residency programs, universities, professional associations, and community partners.

Serve as a Strategic Talent Advisor

  • Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs, succession risks, market conditions, and hiring challenges.
  • Lead recruitment intake consultations to develop targeted recruiting strategies and candidate profiles.
  • Provide labor market intelligence and recruitment best practices to support informed hiring decisions.
  • Help leaders think proactively about workforce planning rather than reactively about vacancies.

Create an Exceptional Candidate Experience

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from sourcing through onboarding.
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate travel, site visits, and recruitment events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Deliver a welcoming, professional, and mission-focused experience that reflects our culture and values.

Promote NWHS as an Employer of Choice

  • Partner with Communications and Marketing to strengthen employment branding.
  • Attend career fairs, conferences, community events, and school presentations.
  • Develop creative campaigns that showcase our mission, people, culture, and impact.
  • Build excitement about careers that improve health and transform lives.

Drive Recruitment Excellence

  • Maintain and optimize recruiting technologies, applicant tracking systems, and reporting tools.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes, candidate experiences, and hiring outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

What Makes You Successful

You're more than a recruiter—you are:

✅ A relationship builder who can engage physicians, executives, students, and community partners alike.

✅ A talent scout who loves identifying exceptional people before anyone else does.

✅ A strategic thinker who sees workforce challenges coming and develops solutions in advance.

✅ A trusted advisor who helps leaders hire not only for today's needs but tomorrow's opportunities.

✅ A mission-driven professional who believes access to quality healthcare starts with attracting and retaining great people.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible recruiting experience.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruiting technologies, and recruitment reporting tools.
  • Strong sourcing, networking, relationship-building, and candidate engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting physicians, advanced practice providers, dentists, behavioral health professionals, nurses, or licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Experience recruiting leadership and management positions.
  • Experience developing talent pipelines, residency partnerships, or workforce development initiatives.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, CHCR, or similar certification.
  • Experience working in a healthcare organization, community health center, FQHC, or nonprofit environment.

Why NWHS?

Every hire matters.

The people you recruit will provide care to patients, strengthen our communities, lead our teams, and help advance our mission. Your work will directly impact patient access, organizational growth, and the future of healthcare delivery in Oregon.

At NWHS, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships that matter, influence workforce strategy, and help create a workplace where talented people can thrive and make a difference every day.

Join us in building the workforce that powers our mission.

Apply today and help connect purpose-driven people with meaningful careers that transform lives.
