We’re looking for a manager, people services to own and deliver the People function of Nureva Inc. and its subsidiary, Nialli Inc. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll work as an integral member of the management teams across both organizations to attract, develop and retain exceptional people while creating a positive and engaging employee experience.
As the sole people services professional supporting approximately 200 team members, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our culture and helping the organization scale. You’ll work closely with leaders across Engineering, Product, Marketing, Sales and Operations to support workforce planning, recruitment, management development, performance management, compensation and organizational effectiveness.
You’re a trusted advisor who enjoys building relationships and helping people succeed. You’re equally comfortable providing strategic guidance to executives and rolling up your sleeves to handle day-to-day operations. You communicate effectively, exercise sound judgment and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You will:
- Work closely with executives, directors and managers to support organizational growth, workforce planning and employee development
- Lead full-cycle recruitment activities across technical and nontechnical roles
- Coach management team members on performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution and people leadership
- Develop and maintain policies, programs and resources that support a positive staff member experience
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, accommodations and other People operations processes
- Work closely with all levels of the management teams on compensation reviews, benchmarking and people planning initiatives
- Design and deliver management and leadership training programs
- Support staff engagement and culture-building initiatives
- Ensure compliance with policies and employment legislation
- Identify and implement process improvements that support organizational growth and efficiency
You have:
- A positive, professional approach and a passion for helping people and organizations succeed
- At least 7 years of progressive HR experience
- A degree or diploma in HR, business administration or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and leadership development
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation
- Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Strong judgment, discretion and problem-solving abilities
- Experience supporting management in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
Nice to have:
- A CPHR designation
- Experience in the technology sector
- Experience developing and delivering leadership training
- Experience with HRIS platforms and people analytics
