Perform critical NDT inspections across multiple methods to ensure the safety and mission readiness of the RAAF C-27J Spartan fleet. Collaborate with engineering teams and AMEs to identify defects and support technical resolution within a compliant Defence environment.
Must be an Australian citizen capable of obtaining a Baseline AGSVA security clearance. Requires extensive fixed-wing aviation NDT experience and certification aligned with EN4179/NAS410 standards.

Northrop Grumman Australia supports the RAAF C‑27J Spartan fleet. The C‑27J Spartan supports real-world missions, from disaster relief to regional operations.
This role sits within Base Maintenance at RAAF Base Amberley. You will perform critical inspections that keep aircraft safe and mission ready.
This is not a narrow scope NDT role as you will work across multiple inspection methods, not just one.
You will operate in a structured, compliant Defence environment. Processes are clear, expectations are known, and standards matter.
You will work closely with AMEs, Crew Leads, and engineering teams. Your input directly supports defect identification and resolution.
The work is varied across Line and Heavy Maintenance activities. Each job brings different challenges, not repetitive tasks.
Australian Citizenship and Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline AGSVA security clearance are mandatory to be considered for this opportunity.

About You
You bring strong aviation experience within a regulated environment. Ideally, you are ex‑RAAF with Defence aviation exposure. If not, you bring extensive fixed-wing NDT aviation experience.
You are confident working across multiple NDT certification aligned to EN4179/NAS410 methods. You understand structured maintenance and approved documentation systems. You value safety, compliance, and doing the job properly. You are reliable in teams and communicate clearly under pressure.
You prefer environments with clear processes and defined standards. You want varied work rather than repetitive inspection tasks.
You take pride in delivering safe, serviceable aircraft outcomes.
