The position duties will include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate Basic Equipment Care Module
Ensure compliance to Basic Equipment Care standard
Conduct and facilitate focused continuous improvement Kaizens
Manage capital spending projects, maintenance projects, and manufacturing engineering APQP tasks
Determine root cause and implement true corrective actions for equipment related customer notifications/rejections
Implement preventive maintenance optimization on existing equipment/processes
Develop and train predictive and preventive maintenance activities on new equipment
Conduct equipment run @ rates and monitor equipment to maintain observed/quoted cycle times
Mentor maintenance technical team on TQPS mindset and problem-solving techniques
Define and implement tangible cost savings
Define and support critical spares inventory
Communicate project status to other departments and NASG shared services group
Manage suppliers in design, construction, and installation of new equipment
Ensure new equipment and equipment modifications meet safety by design standards or codes including validating safety checks (pre-health and safety reviews)
Assist in FMEA pre-production planning and initial samples
Troubleshoot problems at production equipment
Optimize plant flow and layout
Manage ISO14001 environmental requirements as assigned by EHS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school graduate
Post-Secondary Technical trade school or extensive experience in related fields
Experience:
Five years stamping or related field
Five years Project Engineering or related experience
Five years production welding experience
Process design, improvement and or verification experience
Knowledge of CAD software (preferred)
Knowledgeable of OSHA general industry and press related standards
Electrical controls / systems knowledge
P.M. systems and methodology
Strong understanding of elimination of waste
Personal/Technical Skills:
Ability to analyze and report using mathematical data
Proficient in using formulas and pivot tables in Excel
Presents data in a clear and unambiguous manner
