The Enterprise Architect designs, builds, implements, and maintains enterprise-class systems and processes to support mission needs. Develops the baseline and target architecture for production environments, aligning standards and frameworks with overall business and technology strategy. Identifies design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommends changes and enhancements to ensure stability, interoperability, portability, and scalability of system architecture. Serves as the principal authority on enterprise architecture strategy, governance, and modernization across complex operational environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Designs, builds, implements, and maintains enterprise-class systems and processes that support mission needs, translating business and technology strategy into scalable, secure, and production-ready architectures across the enterprise.
Develops the baseline and target architecture for production environments, defining current-state and future-state technology roadmaps that align with organizational objectives and evolving mission requirements.
Aligns enterprise architecture standards and frameworks (such as TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, or equivalent) with overall business and technology strategy, ensuring consistency and compliance across all architectural domains.
Identifies design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommends changes and enhancements to ensure stability, interoperability, portability, and scalability of system architecture across the enterprise.
Establishes and enforces architecture governance processes, technology standards, and reference architectures that guide system design decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise security, compliance, and performance requirements.
Partners with development, DevOps, data engineering, and mission teams to translate project requirements into extensible enterprise architectures, communicating architectural decisions and trade-offs to executives and technical stakeholders.
Evaluates emerging technologies and platform capabilities to recommend optimal technology stacks, driving enterprise modernization initiatives that balance innovation with operational stability and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
US Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree and a Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or IT infrastructure design, with a proven track record designing and governing enterprise-class systems and production environments.
Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, or equivalent), with demonstrated ability to develop baseline and target architectures aligned with business and technology strategy.
Proven experience designing architectures that ensure stability, interoperability, portability, and scalability across heterogeneous enterprise systems, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Demonstrated ability to establish and enforce architecture governance processes, technology standards, and reference architectures across complex enterprise environments.
Proven ability to communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations to executives, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred.
Experience designing enterprise architectures across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with knowledge of cloud-native services, containerization, and microservice patterns.
Experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or national security missions with enterprise architecture and systems modernization.
Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent enterprise architecture credentials.
Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and platform engineering methodologies within enterprise environments.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
