About the Role

The Employer Partnership Manager is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of employer partnerships, workforce development initiatives, and employment placement services. This role serves as the bridge between New Freedom, employers, workforce agencies, and community partners while leading efforts to create sustainable employment pathways for individuals in recovery and reentry. The Employer Partnership Manager drives workforce outcomes, develops strategic partnerships, and provides leadership to employment-focused programs and staff.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys (and is highly successful) building strategic relationships and community partnerships
  • Thrives in a leadership role that combines business development, workforce services, and community impact
  • Understands how meaningful employment supports recovery and successful reentry
  • Enjoys creating innovative solutions and expanding opportunities for underserved populations
  • Wants to make a measurable impact through workforce development programs

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Developing and executing employer partnership strategies that support member employment and vocational outcomes
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employers across industries including healthcare, hospitality, culinary, construction, skilled trades, peer support, and other workforce sectors
  • Creating employment opportunities for vocational graduates and members seeking workforce placement
  • Coordinating hiring events, employer tours, career fairs, and workforce development activities
  • Monitoring employment placement rates, retention outcomes, employer satisfaction, and program effectiveness
  • Leading workforce development staff through coaching, supervision, training, and performance management
  • Representing New Freedom at workforce development meetings, community events, and industry networking opportunities
  • Analyzing workforce data, developing reports, and supporting strategic growth initiatives

What Success Looks Like

  • Strong employer partnerships lead to increased hiring opportunities for members
  • Employment placement and retention outcomes consistently improve
  • Workforce development programs align with labor market trends and employer needs
  • Team members perform effectively and contribute to positive workforce outcomes
  • Community and employer relationships continue to grow and strengthen
  • Strategic initiatives support long-term organizational growth and member success

What We’re Looking For

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Workforce Development, Public Administration, Social Services, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Demonstrated experience building partnerships with employers, workforce agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders
  • Experience in workforce development, employment services, business development, employer engagement, staffing, recruiting, talent acquisition, vocational rehabilitation, or related fields
  • Experience developing and monitoring KPIs, performance metrics, and outcome-driven initiatives
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, workforce databases, reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of workforce development systems, labor market trends, employment practices, and employer engagement strategies
  • Two or more years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred
  • Experience managing workforce development programs or employment service teams preferred
  • Experience working with justice-involved, recovery, reentry, behavioral health, or underserved populations preferred
  • Experience with grant-funded workforce programs preferred

Environment + Physical Demands

This position operates in office, community, employer-site, workforce development, and vocational program environments.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Frequent use of computers, reporting systems, CRM platforms, and workforce tracking tools
  • Occasional evening and weekend events to support employer engagement, workforce initiatives, and community partnerships

Our Standard

We’re building something meaningful—and that requires people who show up, contribute, collaborate, and take ownership.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact, be part of a driven team, and help shape the future of an organization—we want to hear from you.
