Responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments. The role ensures surgical trays and supplies are prepared safely and cost-effectively for ambulatory operating rooms and endoscopy suites.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and certification from CRCST or CBSPD. Candidates must have knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization, and infection control requirements.
Join our team as a Central Sterile Technician, working alongside NYP Central Sterile Technicians in providing sterilization services to multiple ambulatory operating rooms and endoscopy suites at our state-of-the-art facility, NewYork-Presbyterian/David H. Koch Center.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surgical trays and supplies in a safe and cost-effective manner. As a skilled professional at NewYork-Presbyterian, you will be responsible for decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
This is a full time evenings position working 3:00pm-11:00pm, including rotating weekends and alternating holidays, at NewYork-Presbyterian/David H. Koch Center.
Prior experience in Central Sterile
High School Diploma of GED
Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterilization technique, infection control requirements, and a basic knowledge of med/surg procedure terminology
