As a Mental Health Professional at New Story Schools, you will provide counseling and emotional support that helps students manage challenges and thrive academically and socially. You will guide students through individualized interventions, promote social-emotional learning, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
What You’ll Need
Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
Active PA license or certification in counseling, social work, or school counseling
Minimum two years of experience providing individual or group counseling to children
Expertise in trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning
Strong communication, crisis intervention, and collaboration skills
What You’ll Do
Provide individual and group counseling aligned to student goals and IEPs
Collaborate with educators and families to design and monitor behavior or counseling plans
Conduct crisis intervention and provide emotional support to students in distress
Lead social-emotional learning sessions and professional development for staff
Document counseling services and maintain compliance with confidentiality standards
